I love deer, I really do. They are beautiful and clumsy and silent all at once.
Frequently, I have come home after a long day of work to surprise a family of then grazing in our gardens.
These tracks were found last night. They have been taking all that is left of our veggies.
Getting ready for the long winter ahead of them.
A winter that will leave them to nibble on the remnants of tree berries and forage through the snow for insulated grasses.
Until the spring when new shoots grow and they can return to the gardens. I can't wait to see them leading their tiny fawns to a bounty of green goodness as the brown of winter receeds.

I love deer as well. They are just the sweetest creatures. We have a lot of Deer and Elk, and they seem very peaceful and content in the Rockies. I have really loved reading your take on the Autumn colors. So pretty
it's so nice of you to share
