I've missed you...

But I've been busy. I've been working.  I've been avoiding my sewing machine like the plague.

Seriously...I have looked through my stacks and stacks of inspiring projects that I have clipped from magazines over the years and I still can't find a THING to put together.

Nothing.
Na Da.
Zip.
Zero.
Zilch.

We did manage to put out the lights.

I went for a walk or two before the temp dropped to below 10 degrees.

Burr.

And Whitie had been taking his job of guarding the Advent tree extremely seriously.

You see, his sister Gracie likes to bat the satchels off of their branches and then chase them around the house at 3am in the morning.

I've started my THIRD attempt at Pa's present.

I am just HATING these trees.  I CAN NOT get them the way I want them!

AND!!!!

Fran and I have decided to annihilate his Christmas bonus by going through with our mutual dream of a wood floor.

So long ratty juice dribbled carpet....

Hello, wide plank pine hard wood floors.

Now mind you, it will be nowhere near as weathered and scrumptious as the inspiration floor that I clipped from a Country Living magazine YEARS ago.... but it WILL be 8 inch wide planks, and it WILL be heavenly.

We may be living off of Spaghettios for a few months, but who cares...

At least we won't have to stare at that hideous carpet while we are eating them.


PSYCHED doesn't even seem to cover it.
