Space...

We recently inherited a new TV and stand from my brother in law.  I in turn inherited the old kitchen hutch that we had been using as a TV stand in the living room.  I had plans for it even before the TV was off of it.

My new fabric home. 

You see, my closet was just not doing well under the strain of the piles of fabric that had undertaken it. I had not an inch of space to hold all of my summer sheets and blankets when I went to change over to my winter flannels and quilts, let alone any NEW fabric.

I moved my pretty little floral granny chair into Eben's room for his massive bear to sit his massive bottom in.  And this newly free'd corner space in my sewing room was where my new hutch was placed.

Piles of fabric, a BIG basket filled with scraps organized into ziplocks according to color of the fabric.

I tell you...I went NUTS.....I even weeded out all of the fabrics that I had, but, never really liked.

And do you remember those beautiful little bowls that I got a few months back...Well...I FINALLY got to hanging them on the wall where I had pictured them all along. 

And of course, there are still a few in a stack in my cupboard to eat my breakfast in.

I am newly in love with my sewing room.....A place that is going to hold a lot of my attention in the blustery months ahead.
