What a weekend...

Our house is currently in a state of shambles.

But the end is near....within a week's reach. 

The walls are taped, mudded, sanded and painted in the most glorious shade of greenish gray.

The stain has been chosen. (can you guess which one?)

The new breakfast bar footprint had been laid out.

And as you read this, my fabulously talented husband and a few buddies are laying down the wide planks of pine that have taken over our workshop and our minds for the past few weeks.

And you know what?  I don't even care about all of that.  Because, the only thing that I can concentrate on is my new computer.

Yes, you read that right.

A NEW laptop courtesy of my ridiculously generous and utterly sweet twin.  I came home from work late last night to find a hidden box sitting on the guest room bed and a sister grinning from ear to ear in anticipation of my reaction.

She told me that she had gotten me a present.

I guess so!

So, here I sit in her guest room typing away on it's super smooth keys and scratch-less screen. Attempting not to get drool on the keyboard.  It is just amazing.

I am without a camera right now, but I promise a photo of it in all of it's glory on Monday.


I've decided that they really should have called it a "love"top instead of a "lap"top.
