A lovely day and a recipe...

Sitting with my girl Gracie while she suns herself.

Making a gift for a friend's new baby.  The shower is in 2 weeks.
Putting the gift of fresh eggs (from my Sister-in-laws 13 chickens) to good use.

(I threatened to steal two of her black and white hens under the cloak of darkness...they are my favorites)

Playing with the idea of starting this mitt's mate.  I'm nervous for sure.

Making dinner with my boy from scratch.

RECIPE

Orecchiette noodles with roasted chicken and rosemary in a creamy parmesan sauce

WARNING(DO NOT attempt this if you are on a diet!!!)

Ingredients
1 small roasted chicken or 3 roasted chicken breasts shredded
1 tablespoon country herbs
1 teaspoons each of salt and pepper
1lb bag of Orecchiette noodles boiled

Sauce
1 cup of 1/2 & 1/2
1/2 cup milk
2 cups of shredded parmesan cheese
2tablespoons butter

Boil noodles until tender then drain.
Combine the drained noodles with the shredded chicken, herbs, salt and pepper in a bowl, set aside.

For the sauce, melt the butter in pan, slowly pour in the milk and 1/2 & 1/2, bring to a light boil, then remove from the heat.  Quickly whisk in the shredded parmesan until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened.

Pour the sauce over the noodle and chicken mixture, snip a few sprigs of fresh rosemary on top and serve.

I'll be back on Wednesday with a new project.

Happy Monday friends.
