We still have a ton of snow on the ground and what feels like the entire month of March for it to melt and replenish itself. It's called "Mud Season" for a reason I guess.
That's springtime in the Adirondacks for you.
But, oh how I miss the nicer weather. Just a peek of green to see from my windows would be really nice right about now.
And I don't mean Evergreens....We've got a TON of those....Thanks.
Looking back through my Garden album, I began to reminisce for all of that lushness. Our gardens budding into full swing.
All thanks to Fran.
He has the greenest of thumbs from working summers in a greenhouse as a teenager... naming all plants by their proper name while I struggle just to find the difference between annuals and perennials.
I walked along our acre today, taking in the blankness of it all. In contrast to the beauty of the summer.

And even though I am antsy for the warmer weather, I can wait it out.
Because if I could pick fresh apples from my yard...all year long, Spring and summer really wouldn't be as special as they are....
Would they?
